I've always enjoyed staying at the Cape Charles KOA. Only thing I would like to say is that we stayed at the same safari tent as last year and the zipper on the tent was still not fixed. Other than that, I have no complaints.
The Bathrooms were dirty. beachfront had dangerous sticks in the sand. The beach has weed overgrowth. Monday thru Thursday, one side of the bar is closed due to staffing issues. Some water faucets for camper hookups are too close to the ground. The Tree needs to be trimmed; Store is limited to things like coffee creamers.
Wonderful camping, great beach, friendly hostess and clean area.
I've been coming every year for about 6 years and love the campground. I feel that the cleanliness of the campground is slowly going downhill. The cabins aren't as fresh as they used to be and the side of the pool was filthy along with dirt collecting at the kids' side of the pool. The gate entering almost hit our vehicle coming in.

Nice campground, staff is professional, courtious, and accommodating. We had to extend our stay for a day the camp host work with us to extend. Quiet campground, sites are level, and gravel. Can handle big rigs, 5th wheels and class A.
Great location to many of the best vineyards we like, location works great for us.
Love that this campground has been kept traditional and not gone ooh-la-la. Many sites are large and away from others. Plan to stay for a few nights cause lots to do in the area.
Roads to this KOA were not RV friendly, and we just have a small travel trailer. I would not want to attempt with a large motor home.
Lived everything except for the advertised fishing pond. No easy way to get there and very little room to fish. They need to build a small pier to fish off of.

We stay once a year on our way home from Florida. Big rig. I did notice this time that the big rig sites have been widened a bit with easier turn ins and outs on each site.Much better. Easy off & on I-95. Stayed here several times. Staff friendly. Camp ground has always been neat and clean as well as the facilities.

Liked our campsite but had 2 unleashed dogs run after me & my dog who I picked up. Owner ran after her unleashed dogs. Also had campers in a tiny teardrop with 3 dogs leashed outside, 2 med. size, 1 small one who barked a lot. They took them in when they slept but heard the dogs early & at 4 am. Otherwise, our stay was nice, quiet and campsite backed to wooded area which we liked.

We only had one night as a stop over heading north, great site very clean with friendly staff, we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Only disappointment was we only had one night.

We've stayed here twice. Very clean campground. Spacious campsites. Wi-Fi was excellent. Bath House was clean and sanitary. Camp Hosts and Staff were very friendly and checked in on us several times. Pool was clean and large. Cable TV was ok in upper channels, but lower channels were really very distorted---may want to check in on that system. I highly recommend this campground!

Always lovely! Staff is so friendly and sites are perfect.
We were a group of 38 ranging in age from 2 yr to 77 y/0 traveling from NH, Texas, California, Florida and Kanas for our niece’s wedding. We had a blast being together, we rented 7 cabins and 1 RV site. We enjoyed the pool, which it could have been open for longer hours. The cabins were clean, staying in the loft was challenging for some but we just joke about it. The staff was friendly

I only stayed one night and spent most of the day at Kings Dominion so I can’t say much about the campground. I seemed to get the worst tent site. The entire site was dirt, rocks, and tree roots. It was hard to find spots where I could hammer in the stakes and bent a couple of them.

Great campground, extremely nice sites surrounded by the "Tall Pines". Grandkids loved the bounce pillow, pool and splash area. The only negative thing I have to say, and granted it is minor, is the $5.00 daily fee I was charged to bring in my own golf cart. This was not mentioned anywhere when I registered. This is the third time I have been to this campground in a year, and the first fee.
Quiet, lots of shade. Good spacing between sites. Can't measure. I asked for 2 sites as close as possible, given we made reservations about 6 weeks before arrival. (Not great time, but decent). Reservationist said they were just down from each other. (Around two corners and down the road). Showers not cleaned daily. The hair ball on the shower floor was my proof....as well as the grit on floor
To whom it may concern, we have been camping at this resort for over 15 years and this past stay was very disappointing. The campsite was very unkept, I pay extra for the paver patio for my grandchildren and dog and weeds we’re everywhere. Grass was tall everywhere else including around the fire pit. We stayed in the deluxe cabin. It was great. Very clean, ample space, nicely located to the amenities. The amenities were very nice. The pool was alot of fun. The snack bar had a very nice selection, with reasonable prices. Overall a very nice campground that I would return to. Very quiet.
The cottage was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. The mosquitoes however were terrible and if anything would keep us from coming back it would be them. Please consider spraying for them. We have never received so many bites in a weekend.

Nice and friendly staff. Nice site. Would prefer better cleaning of pool debris (many large bugs and other particles floating in the pool). Also, with so many children around, I don't think grown adults should be drinking their beers and other mixed drinks in the pool. I have no issue at their chair/table, but not cool for them to be hovering in the pool with drinks in hand.
Great reception at sign-in. Due to recent rain there was a mudhole where my steps had to be which cause me a little difficulty with my walking stick. A camping place as beautiful as yours needs a least 3 sites with concrete level pads for guests with limited mobility. I would gladly pay extra for such a site. We have stayed at the wytheville KOA several different times. It is such a nice campground we keep coming back. We love the pool. Movie night is always good the kids love it. Will be back in 2026
